The Fold’s mission statement

We are compelled to excellence in compassionate loving care for the children of Leseding.
In light of this, we want to establish a place of love and refuge for those children who are orphaned with no other family to take care of them. Our goal is to invest in the lives of these children for the long term benefit of themselves, their village and South Africa.
The aim is to create a loving and secure environment filled with an atmosphere of contagious joy and promoting a good moral character.

The Fold’s vision statement
The plight of the young and defenseless has always been close to our heart. We see the children of Africa as part of existing cultures and societies. Further, we realize that we have not been part of the African culture for very long and have much to learn. But we also know that we have a common culture and society: we are all children of God.
Based on this common foundation, our primary vision is to assist children, who have been ravaged by the loss of family, poverty, disease and abuse.
To make this possible we will work in collaboration with other organizations and individuals who are dedicated to providing (or are providing) services for the poor, abused, and economically challenged.

We believe that biblical families are God’s design to train and nurture children, all of whom are created in God’s image. With the children raised using their own language in a biblical setting, respecting their culture.

We believe the children should be exposed to different interests, sports, educational opportunities, involvement in charitable events for those less fortunate than themselves.
