Any event, coffee-morning, or quiz evening where you are able to raise funds, please remember us.
We are particularly looking to raise some funds to be able to employ a full time teacher for the children as education is such a vital aspect of their lives. We will also be opening a third house in 2013 and will need another R6,000 per month to staff the house and R1,600 per child per month.
As we estimate that the cost of running Ruth House and Michael house is approx. R45,000 per month, we are always most grateful for any donations. To give you an idea of where your donation could go...supporters so far have given significant lump sums specifically towards the cost of the tractor and the poly-tunnel, others a row of beetroot or even a garden shed. In 2013 we will have ten children in school. It is approximately R700 per month, per child to pay for education, school supplies and transport. It is always perhaps most helpful where supporters are able to donate by direct debit, as this helps so much with forward planning.
We will be inviting the local lodge owners and managers to see the progress that is being made, and hopefully they might be able to offer some help. Lodge guests often visit The Fold, and it always seems to make an impression on them, as many keep in touch, and have been generous with donations.
