The Children
The children have come here through the social department in Vaalwater, or church groups, and they have, in the main, been found struggling on their own on the edges of local townships.
This cheerful boy was being solely looked after by his brothers, aged 9 and 10, who came with him to The Fold. He has settled in well to his new home.
Baby Lucky was born to a 14 year old. His aged granny had to take on the responsibility of raising him. She asked us to help, and he is just the most precious little boy.
These were street children who had a very tough look to them. Big Lucky (age 9) was acting as overseer/protector/provider of his siblings. He now has the countenance of a child his own age.
They are becoming more of a family and seeing that they are responsible for certain things to maintain a good family life, and that being responsible is good for the whole family.
